Iran's Noor News stated that an Iranian military academy and residential structures in Tehran were targeted while a journalist from Iran's public channel was covering the incident live.
Esmail Baghaei, a spokesman for Iran's Foreign Ministry, posted video of damaged classrooms on X after announcing that an elementary school in Tehran's Niloufar Square had been attacked. Since the start of the US-Israeli bombardment, several Iranian schools have been targeted, including Minab in the south on the first day of the conflict, which resulted in the deaths of at least 165 schoolgirls and personnel.
UNICEF reported on Friday that at least 181 of the more than 1,300 individuals murdered in the attacks on Iran thus far are children.
Tohid Asadi of Al Jazeera reported from Tehran that the bombardment in the capital had been more severe than it had been before.
"We have been experiencing a continuous barrage of tremendous hits since the very early hours of today and into the morning," he stated, adding that the Al Jazeera bureau could feel the blast's shockwaves.
He claimed, "I can say that compared to previous days, we observed stronger shelling overnight, at least in the capital," describing massive explosions and fighter jets in the sky while the city was enveloped by dense smoke from the strikes.
He said that the strikes had targeted places like the vicinity of Pasteur Street, a heavily guarded area where important Iranian government facilities are located and where the country's Supreme Leader and several of his relatives were slain in the early hours of the battle.

President Masoud Pezeshkian stated on Friday that the US and Israel should be the focus of mediation efforts.
